Dave Sisolak's Bio
"Dave grew up in Southern California and first started venturing outdoors and on the rocks with the Boy Scouts. Working in the Southern Sierra and the Sangre De Cristo mountains of New Mexico teaching climbing for the Boy Scouts, he moved to Western Maryland in 2003 to attend the Adventure Sports Institute of Garrett College to take classes in Adventure Sports Management. The short drive to Seneca Rocks, WV to go climbing became obsession which led to working for Seneca Rocks Mountain Guides as a professional mountain guide for three seasons. Currently calling Southern California home again, Dave enjoys the remoteness and incredible mountain playground that the Sierras have to offer. His climbing resume includes peak ascents in the Sierra and Front Range of Colorado, plus extensive climbing in Southern California, West Virginia, New Mexico and Colorado.
With experiences from Yosemite big wall routes to long multi pitch backcountry climbs, he blends his knowledge of climbing with a passion for teaching. Dave holds certifications as a Wilderness First Responder, Outdoor Emergency Care Technician (Ski Patrol), Leave No Trace Trainer, and AAIRE Level 1 Avalanche certification. He currently calls Thousand Oaks home for himself and his Siberian Husky, and keeps busy teaching classes, coaching and setting climbing routes at Boulderdash Indoor Climbing Studio.
